Summary
The 1:1 WhatsApp enquiry loop was measured end to end, webhook to send, on the live channel. The transport is not the bottleneck; the time goes to knowledge-base coverage and model re-asks.

The loop is measured

The 1:1 WhatsApp enquiry loop — a customer’s message arriving on the rep’s business number, the agent composing a cited answer, and the reply going out — has been measured end to end: webhook to send, on the live channel.

Where the time goes

The transport is not the bottleneck. The slow terms are:

  • Knowledge coverage — questions the product knowledge base cannot yet answer confidently.
  • Model re-asks — the agent asking again rather than guessing.

Those are the two levers that move a real conversation, and they are where we are investing next.

Why it matters

A measured loop means the team argues about the right things. The next gains come from widening knowledge coverage and tightening the answering prompt — not from plumbing. That is where a customer-service product should want its bottlenecks to live.
